RepoGrade for GitHub
The same deterministic grading as the website, running automatically. Every push and pull request gets a grade in your checks, so your repo stays portfolio-ready as it changes, not just the day you graded it.
How it works
- 1
Install on your repos
Pick the public repositories you want graded. Installation takes under a minute and needs no configuration.
- 2
Push or open a PR
Every push to your default branch and every pull request triggers a fresh scan of the 13-check rubric.
- 3
Read the check, fix the gaps
A RepoGrade check appears on the commit with your grade, category scores, and the highest-impact fixes first.
What it can and cannot do
- Public repositories only. Private repos are never scanned, even if you install on them. Reports stay public pages, so grading stays public code.
- Read-only access. The app reads repo contents and metadata and writes check runs. It never modifies your code.
- Same rubric as the site. A grade from the app and a grade from the website always agree: same checks, same weights, deterministic.
- Never blocks a merge. A low grade shows as a neutral check, not a failure. RepoGrade is guidance, not a gate.
